My name is Michael Robbins. I’m a Southern California native and have been working as an independent web designer and webmaster for more than a decade. I build clean, fast, and durable web interfaces for local businesses and independent creators, and this site serves as my digital field notebook—a place where I share my thoughts on web technologies, design craft, and the systems that keep sites running.
Over the years, the web has changed dramatically. We’ve shifted from desktop-only layouts to responsive designs, and from complex dynamic backend systems to resilient modern stacks. Throughout these changes, my focus has remained on design craft, performance, and building digital trust.
